This Mother of Pearl Urn set consists of 2 urns (1x large 10 Inch Adult Urn and matching mini 3 Inch Keepsake Urn). This stunning handmade Mother of Pearl cremation urn is made of solid brass with Mother of Pearl tiles inlayed on the body and lid of the urns. Gold coloured nickel is banded on the body and neck of the urns. The threaded screw top lids enable easy opening and ashes can be placed inside the urns and securely sealed and closed.

What size cremation urn do we need?
Cremated remains (ashes) can vary in amount due to different cremation processes, temperature variations, bone structure of the deceased, height and age. Weight does not affect the size of the urn required as fat is a combustible element of nature and naturally disappears. A 200 cubic inch / 3.1L urn is, in 98% of cases, more than large enough to hold the ashes of an adult. If unsure please contact your crematorium or funeral director to confirm exactly what size urn you need to purchase. The ashes of very tall adults would be best suited to an urn that is 220 cubic inches / 3.6L or larger. As calculating ash amount is not an exact science, the following is a guide only. We do not guarantee the following calculations will be true 100% of the time.
What size urn will we need?
Average height adult- 5 inch / 152.cm - 5.9 Inch will need a 200 cubic inch / 3.1L urn. Tall adults - 6 Inch / 182.88 cm and over will need a 220 cubic inch / 3.6L cremation urn. One month old baby to three year old - needs an urn of approximately 40 cubic inches / 0.65L.
