Description
The Malus ioensis plena, known as simply Crab Apple is probably the most popular of all Crab Apples, it has an excellent spring floral display and very good autumn colour. The Bechtel Crab Apple is a good choice where space is limited. Field grown to produce a hardy and strong tree. These trees are harvested in winter when dormant then placed in a bag. Early growth stages in the ground produces a more resilient and robust tree living longer than other trees grown entirely in pots.
