Enjoy this Lunar New Year favourite in this delicious stir-fry.


Serves 6–8

  • 2 tbs vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 20g ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 500g Australian frozen greenlip abalone, thawed, trimmed and sliced
  • 300g stir-fry vegetable blend
  • 2 tbs oyster sauce
  • 2 tsp white sugar
  • Jasmine rice, cooked, to serve


Heat the oil in a large frypan over high heat. Add garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for 1 min until fragrant. Add the abalone and vegetables. Fry for 2 mins, until vegetables are tender crisp.
Add the oyster sauce, sugar, and 1 tbs water, and fry for 1 min, until the vegetables and abalone are coated with sauce. Serve on rice as part of a banquet.
