JOHNNIE WALKER

Johnnie Walker is one of the most widely distributed brand of Scotch Whisky in the world. It was first introduced by John Walker, a store grocer who advertised it using the famous Striding Man image along with the slogan, "Johnnie Walker: Born 1820, still going strong". Some cultural figures, including Winston Churchill and former US president, Richard Nixon, were great fans of the brand.

With the exception of a few limited and special releases, Johnnie Walker has only ever offered a few blends. But what distinguishes the Johnnie Walker brand from other brands of Scotch Whiskies is that its core products have been colour coded, thus making it easy for anyone to remember their favourite colour label and drink, rather than trying to remember the names, ages or regionality of a whisky.

There are six colour labels and they increase in price as well as quality in the following order: Red, Black, Double Black, Green, Gold and Blue. Both the Black Label Whisky and the Red Label Whisky are perhaps the two most popular label in the lineup, and you'll find them served in every bar and restaurant that sells whiskey, while the Blue Label Whisky is a sensationally smooth blend and the pinnacle of its product offering.
