Costco uses a variety of cultured pearls in jewellery such as Akoya, South Sea, Tahitian and Freshwater pearls.
Unlike diamonds, pearls do not have a global standardised grading system. Therefore, Costco does not list grades on our pearl items. Our process ensures our pearls have good luster, shape, colour and minimal blemishes.
Care and Maintenance
Pearls are soft and are easily scratched. It's important to wear and store your pearl jewellery with care. Pearl jewellery can be cleaned with a soft cloth. Avoid all harsh chemicals such as bleach, ammonia, hair spray and perfume as they will damage your pearls. Please remember to have your jewellery inspected by a qualified jeweller every 6 months for any needed maintenance or repair.
