Costco offers a large selection of watches for men and women, in beautiful designs that range from traditional to innovative. Crafted for everyday use, watches serve both a functional and fashionable purpose, whether you simply need to tell time or an accessory to match your outfit of the day.
Bezel The ring of metal around a watch face to hold the glass in place. Rotating bezels can be used for measuring increments of time.
Movement The mechanism which makes a watch work. Automatic and Quartz are the two most common movement types Costco sells.
Crystal The glass on a watch. Sapphire and Mineral Crystal are the two most common types of crystal found on a watch.
Luminous Lume is the material which makes a watch usable in the dark. Typically found on the watch hands and hour markers the lume will glow in the dark making the watch readable.
Chronograph These watches are capable of precise time measurement. Using the push buttons found on the side of these watches, it is possible to measure time more accurately.
Clasp How the bracelet or band is connected to secure the watch to a wrist.
Crown The crown is a grooved knob found on the outside of the watch case and can be used. On automatic watches the crown can be used for manual winding. Chronograph watches can be either automatic or quartz.
Care and Maintenance
Keep your watch away from dust and dirt. Always ensure the crown of your watch is closed securely at all times. Water resistance does not mean waterproof. The rubber seals on watches can break down from frequent contact with water.
